A wide range of flow rates
The range of air flow rates goes from 20 to 630 m3/h and covers the majority of applications for ventilating electric enclosures in an extremely compact package.

Very small on the outside
It only projects 5 mm from the enclosure, hence eliminating functional problems during transportation and when using the enclosure, typical of the bigger and more cumbersome traditional units.

Quick installation
Installation is very quick thanks to the simplicity of the square cut to be made on the enclosure panel and to the click-in fixing system for which no securing screws are needed. Compared to traditional system, we estimate a saving of about 20-30 minutes work. The click-in fixing system can be used on panels that are between 1.2 mm and 2.4 mm thick which is really in almost all cases. For different thicknesses, fixing can still be done using the screw kit that is included in each pack for this purpose.

Highly reliable
The fans used all have the motor pin on a bearing. These fans ensure a high volumetric efficiency and a life of 30,000 working hours at an ambient temperature of 55oC. They are all designed to ensure a quick and safe electrical connection via the terminal board.

Flexibel användning
The standard direction of the air flow is from the outside to the inside of the enclosure for all ventilating units up to 230 m3/h. If needed, the user can easily reverse the direction by simply removing and remounting the fan in the opposite way. There are two different versions of the 550 m3/h models because these fans are not reversible. The standard flow versions are identified with the letter “P” in the 7th position of the code while those with the reverse flow have the letter “R” in the same position.

Optimum enclosure protection

The cloth filter is the EU4 type with a filtering efficiency equivalent to 91% according to the Eurovent 4/9 classification. It features a progressive filtering surface and is made in synthetic fibres that are extremely stable both chemically and physically. It must be checked periodically and changed when clogged using the specific replacement filters. Access to the cloth filter, for changing, is very quick and easy. The special configuration of the bottom of the watertight grille, the self-adhesive seal for coupling to the enclosure and the EU4 filter, ensure the ALFA units an IP44 protection level. This value can be raised to IP54 by using an EU5 cloth filter that has a 97% filtering efficiency and you will find it available among the accessories.

Silent running
A low noise level is one very important factor taken into account when designing the FAN units. They are in fact designed to minimise noise disturbance to provide quiet working environments.

Supply voltage
The ALFA ventilating units are available for the main ac supply voltages: 230V single-phase, 115V single-phase and 400V three-phase, all bifrequency 50-60 Hz. In addition to this, the growing demand for ventilation in the computer and telecommunications network sector has lead to the proposal of DC powered units: 24VDC and 48VDC, available up to 230 m3/h. On request and for substantial quantities, they can also be available with other voltages not given in the catalogue. Both the grille and fan supporting system are made in shockproof ABS which has great mechanical strength and is self-extinguishing, conforming to the UL94 V0 standard. The standard colour is RAL7035. On request and for substantial quantities colours other than standard are available.
